"Frontier Quilt" was inspired by early American quilt patterns and Mexican woven blankets.

Julia Ziegler-Haynes resides in New York City where she divides her time equally between drooling over photo books featuring textiles from the late 1800's, weeping in the aisles of ABC Carpet & Home, mourning the loss of both Gourmet and Domino magazines, making sculptures, and catering small intimate dinner parties where home-made ice cream leaves 'em begging for more.
